  • For those struggling with getting in game.

Finally fixed my problem on windows 10 anyway,

    follow this.

Please download .Net framework 3.5 (which includes 2.5 and 3.0)

Please download .Net framework 4.5 (which includes 4.0)

If this still doesn't resolve your issue, please download the DirectX SDK (development kit) - This is the one that fixed my problem with black screen.

If the above fails try this.

This was for a 64bit windows 7 laptop with all the correct software installed, .NET 4.0 and directx 9 files.

Firstly I ran dxdiag to check if DirectDraw and Direct3D were enabled, I found out that they were disabled for 32bit yet enabled for 64bit. I changed the 32bit to enabled and I no longer recieved the black screen problem. To do this, do as followed.

    1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Run and type in regedit

    2. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ DirectDraw and change the EmulationOnly value data from 1 to 0(right click > Modify)

    3. go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\ Direct3D\Drivers and change the SoftwareOnly value data from 1 to 0(right click > Modify)

    4. Reboot your pc, once rebooted try the Client.exe

This worked for me, so I guess it's worth a try
